Dan Blakeslee
Dan Blakeslee is one of those local phenomenas in the Cambridge music scene. A man with the ability to write a great tune and come up with the coolest piece of art for his gig’s promotional posters. Anyone who knows Dan will tell you that any time you see him, he will always have the biggest smile on his face packed with healing energy. We met with Dan on a sunny Monday afternoon in Harvard Sq. and thought where should we shoot this session… After seeing that the square was packed with people, we decided to try something we have never tried before… Taking Dan and Shaysh on a pedicab ride while recording Dan’s performs of his original tune ‘Valentino’. The idea could have easily be shot down by a lot of pedicabbers, but our kind driver, Sam Steele, was extremely patient with us and was an equal part of the success of this session. We are honored and humbled to feature Dan’s music on our series.
